LYA E-Bulletin August 2005
LYA News
I hope you are enjoying your summer. The main news to report this
month is the publication of the long awaited Green Paper on Youth
entitled Youth Matters. To get hold of your copy, follow the link
to our Parliamentary News section (see below) where you will also
find lots of other interesting news from Government. The Association
will produce a response to this consultation paper and inform members
of any local opportunities to become involved in the process, which
ends in November.
Meanwhile we are busy planning this year's Annual General Meeting,
which will take place at 7pm on 28th September at County Hall.
This event will be followed by a Seminar with guest speakers and
presentations from young people, on the topic “How do we ensure
Youth Matters in Lancashire?”, which is being jointly sponsored
by the Association and Lancashire Council for Voluntary Youth Services.
All members, colleagues and friends are welcome to come along and
invitations will be sent out in the next few weeks together with
our Annual Report 2005.
Please forward this email to anyone who you think would like to
know more about our work and activities for young people across
Lancashire. Ask them to click the subscribe link (below) so that
they will receive all future editions automatically.
Thank You
